BACKGROUND | PFMA SEMINAR
The 2023-24 PFMA audit outcomes showed an overall net improvement of 24% during the 6th administration under President Cyril Ramaphosa – with 142 clean audits. By the end of the 2023-24 financial year, 139 auditees had improved their outcomes and 50 had regressed.
The results of the 2024-25 PFMA audit outcomes are expected to be released in November 2025 when the AGSA tables its consolidated PFMA General Report. Citizens await this crucial report in anticipation to gain detailed insights on the Government of National Unity’s performance. The AGSA presentations in various portfolio committees raised several improvement areas that the GNU should prioritise to achieve their mandates.
